How'd that happen? I'm so glad you asked. The Grange was fortunate enough to receive funding to finish the kitchen's construction from the Town of Dartmouth through their Agricultural Trust Fund, as well as funding from Fairhaven Grange. In addition, USDA - Rural Development and the Massachusetts State Grange. Some granted us funds to purchase kitchen equipment. With all this financial support, plus the generous in-kind support from Greater New Bedford Regional Voc Tech, we are amazingly able to open the kitchen facility, to the public, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, this summer.
Where are you at? Last month, Greater New Bedford Regional Voc Tech students finished installing light fixtures, switches, receptacles and the construction of the canopy to the handicap entrance. They also continued

putting up the fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) wallboard and got our heat up and running. The Grange hired private contractors to install the drywall, which is completed, and to paint the ceilings and upstairs walls.

| I'm so excited! Us too! Please come check it out! The Grange is offering free tours. Did you say FREE tours? Yes, just contact Julie Manley at 508-636-4000 to schedule one. If the drama and action of touring the kitchen during construction is too intense, hold off; we are constructing a website so that you may be able to view the finished facility, and learn more about it, from the convenience of your own home.
I just can't wait! On the edge of your seat? Chomping at the bit? Take action now! If you think you would like to use the kitchen this year, find out what you need to do today to prepare, cal Julie (phone 508-636-4000, email: DartmouthGrange@msn.com). Or, if you want to support the Grange in its efforts to see this to a successful start, get involved by:
